Strongest typhoon in 25 years hits Japan


Typhoon had adverse effects on countries once it approaches. Thus, Japan is one of the country where typhoon affected adversely. The typhoon in Japan is counted as one of the strongest typhoon in 25years.

Typhoon Jebi made landfall in western areas of Japan bringing heavy rains and it is reported that the winds will be of 172km/hr.

The effects of typhoon is shown in the country as in Osaka Bay, the tanks swept into the bridge and in Kyoyo parts the roof of the railway station came down.

People living near the shores are warned to evacuate their homes due to warnings of high waves, mudslides, and flooding.

The storm made landfall in Shikoku island on Tuesday noon and then moving across Japan’s main island of Honshu.

Hundreds of flights, trains, and ferries have cancelled as it is expected that flooding covers the runways of Kansai International Airports in Osaka, a man-made island on bay.

Prime minister Shinzo Abe ordered to take action in protecting lives of people including preparing and evacuating lives.

Japan’s weather forecast has warned of further landslides, flooding and violent winds. Earlier this year, the torrential rains had affected the west of the country that killed more than 200 people.

It is also reported that due to same weather condition the typhoon and torrential rains can affect in India too.
