Today, On 7 Jan 2019 Modi government gives a new year gift to the economically backward peoples of general category by giving 10 percent reservation in higher studies and jobs.
The reservation is approved by the Union Cabinet. Now total 60 percent is reserved for the jobs and higher studies after increasing 10 percent reservation today and the government will amend Article 15 and 16 for equal opportunity and discrimination.
“The reservation will be given to those economically backward poor people who are not availing the benefit of reservation as of now”
So who will get benefit of 10 percent reservation in general category?
1. Whose family income is below 8 lakhs per annum
2. Own less than 5 acres of land
3. Person’s residential house should be 1000 sq ft
4. Resedential plot area should be below 200 yards
This move is being seen as a play card for the votes as the elections are around the corner.
