Love Sonia, this film addresses the human trafficking and prostitution directed by Tabrez Noorani and produced by David Womark. The lead role played by new comer Mrunal Thakur with the other actors in supporting role played by Riya Sisodiya, Freida Pinto, Demi Moore, Manoj Bajpayee, Richa Chadda, Anupam Kher, Adil Hussain, Rajkummar Rao, and Sai Tamhankar. Love Sonia world premiere released in London film festival on 21st June 2018 . Movie scheduled to release on 14th September 2018.

Love Sonia is a story of a brave young Indian Village girl, Sonia, whose life changes that is unrepairable. Her life takes a turn at the age of 17, as she moves out of the village in search of her sister. But, unfortunately trapped in the vicious global sex trade network.

Mrunal Thakur as lead role Sonia in the movie, earlier acted in the Ekta Kapoor’s serial Kumkum Bhagya. She was born in Marathi family and has two sibling’s, an elder sister and a younger brother. She has done B.Tech and Journalism from the KC college. While she was in college she debuted in one of the Star Plus show Mujhse Kuchh Kehti...Yeh Khamoshiyaan. Later she worked on other assignments like, Har Yug Mein Ayega Ek Arjun. Also, hosted a Hindi Play called Do Fool Chaar Mali with Barun Sobti (Iss Pyaar ko Kya Naam Doon actor).

In Love Sonia, Richa Chadha is also playing the role opposite Mrunal who initially denied to work in this movie.  She has a perception that such human trafficking movie, if not handled correctly can go wrong and make disaster in the cinema. But, on meeting with the director Tabrez. She was convinced to work with him as the impression was he won’t make a cheap film. Thus, she agreed to sign the film.

Surprisingly, this movie approved by the Central Board for Film Certification (CBFC) for its encouragement hard hitting film on human trafficking. This movie made such a great impression on the CBFC that theu passed it without any visual cuts. Female members were really happy on one point in the film that you don’t need a man to lead your life a 17 year old girl can be heroic too.
