Rajasthan government started a good initiative towards student for celebrating their Saturday by making it ‘Joyful Saturday’. Many schools have 1st and 3rd Saturdays off while 2nd and 4th Saturday working.
Thus, to make school entertaining, they decided to make these Saturday joyful by not letting them carry bags.
Therefore, students will not carry their bags on 2nd and 4th Saturday and after recess there will be many recreational activities. Those activities include, communication skills, creativity, critical and logical thinking.
Rajasthan Education Council recently issued a circular to all the district education officers and coordinators informing about the ‘Joyful Saturday’ program.
Activities such as debate, reciting poetry, storytelling, puzzle solving, puzzle solving, display of scientific magic tricks, toy making, arts and crafts, communicating with police, doctors, nurses, bank staffers, plantation works, road safety, child rights’ club activities, display of motivational videos, gender-based videos (good touch, bad touch), games, etc.will be recreational that will help in enhancing students mind.
To conduct these activities, it was decided that the student will be divided in three batches from class 1 to 5, 6 to 8 and 9 to 12.
Shivangi Swarnkar, state project director of the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan issued a circular that the Rs 1000 will be provided per school for organizing the fun activities and purchase of items. Lecturer of government school announced that this initiative will definitely help in the improvements of the students.
Students are very excited for the Joyful Saturday that will start soon.
