ISRO – PSLV-C42 launches 2 foreign satellites


On Sunday, The Indian Space Organization (I.S.R.O.) launched two satellites successfully.  NovaSAR and S1-4 both are UK earth observation satellites . They were launch from Satish Dhawan Space centre in Sriharikota.

The launch vehicle PSLV-C42 from which these satellites were blast off at 10:08 pm on Sunday. These were placed in a sun synchronous orbit which is 583 K.M. from earth.

NovaSAR will help in  forest mapping, monitoring  ice cover , land use, flood and disaster monitoring.

And S1-4 will help in environment management, urban management and monitoring disaster.

Satellite both weighing 889 kg were launch  with the help of , Surrey Satellite Technologies Ltd (SSTL),and ISRO’s commercial wing – Antrix Corporation Ltd.

In 2015,ISRO has launched 5 satellite of SSTL successfully at night.

K Sivan chairman of ISRO said that 10 satellite missions and  eight launch vehicle will launch once in every two weeks.

Prime minister  of India,  has congratulated ISRO Scientists for the successful launch. And for expressing great skill in in the competitive space business.
